Rama University is seeking a distinguished academician and industry expert to join the Department of Computer Science as a Professor. The successful candidate will provide academic leadership, drive research innovation, and bridge the gap between theoretical computer science and industrial application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership: Deliver high-quality instruction for undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech/Ph.D.) programs.
- Curriculum Innovation: Design and update the curriculum to align with current industry trends and AICTE/UGC norms, specifically in areas like AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
- Research & Mentorship: Supervise doctoral candidates and lead high-impact research projects for publication in SCOPUS/SCI indexed journals.
- Industry Collaboration: Forge strategic partnerships with industrial bodies for consultancy, internships, and joint research ventures.
- Institutional Growth: Contribute to accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA) and participate in university-level administrative committees.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related Information Technology field from a recognized university.
- Mandatory Dual Experience:
- Academic: Minimum of 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a reputed academic institution, with at least 4 years as an Associate Professor.
- Industrial: Proven track record of industrial experience or significant industry-academia collaborative projects is required to ensure practical knowledge transfer.
- Research Record: A strong portfolio of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals and a history of securing external research grants.
- Desired Skills:
- Expertise in emerging technologies (Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, or IoT).
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in modern pedagogical tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
