Planning & performing routine testing of circuit breakers as per relevant IEC & IS standards and customer requirements to ensure good quality products.
Planning & execution of testing manpower as per the priority of testing & dispatches.
Providing necessary training & input to the workmen related to new products to ensure maximum quality output.
Troubleshooting & solving the issues that arise during routine testing of CBs and informing the vendor to avoid future occurrences.
Providing input to the Process Planning dept. for tools, fixtures, & testing equipment required during testing to improve the quality of work & output.
Entry of attendance records of the workmen in SAP.
Customer Inspection:
Ensure readiness of the breakers before customer inspections.
Responsible for export & domestic customer inspections.
Submission of compliance & incorporation of necessary changes suggested by the customer during inspection and ensuring the same in the breaker before dispatch.
Preparation & submission of inspection reports, MOM, breaker witnessed reports, RTC's to the customer, along with calibration report, bought-out component TC's & relevant IEC & IS standards to the customer if required.
Visiting the customer office (MSEDCL, PGCIL) for obtaining the inspection clearance.
Taking customer feedback through customer feedback forms & communicating the customer suggestion to the QM.
Site Visit & Handling Site Issues:
Providing necessary support to the customer dept. for resolving the site issue.
For small site issues, providing the necessary procedures, instructions, and pictures to the customer for sorting the issues.
Visiting the site export & domestic for attaining & resolving serious issues & providing feedback to concerned dept. regarding failure & discussion of CAPA to avoid the same in future.
Providing support to the customer service dept. by direct interaction with the customer or service franchisee by telephone conversation and presentation emails of methods/trainings.
Vendor Visit:
Visit to vendor depends upon the feedback from shop floor & providing input to the vendor for improvements.
Vendor audits along with quality incoming & follow up with vendors for compliance.
Incorporation of checkpoints & checklists at the manufacturing process at vendor end.
Support & Interaction in Other Dept.:
Providing feedback to the concerned SOE engineer regarding drawing related issues.
Providing feedback to manufacturing team regarding upcoming issues, thus planning for rectification from manufacturing or vendor side.
Attending daily production meetings for understanding priority and other important points of breakers in process and their respective dispatches.
Reporting of serious quality issues of materials to incoming department and thus sending defective materials/parts for & working on root cause analysis of same.
Providing full assistance to design team for technical inputs and testing of circuit breaker.
Supporting Product Development department for in-house routine testing of Circuit breakers for M1 & M2 type test conducted by ERDA.
Providing desired inputs in ECM meetings and thus giving the same input to the team, about the changes made.
Providing assistance to export team for breaker testing data and its test reports.
Involving Process planning team for development of fixtures, tools, and testing instruments.
Record Maintenance and Report Generation:
Month wise generation of MIS, FPY & DPT reports, thus taking immediate & necessary actions for respective improvements.
