About The Role:

Are you the person who makes sure everything actually ships

IVM Podcasts — India's leading podcast network — is looking for a Production & Operations Manager to be the operational backbone of our content engine. You'll keep shows on schedule, teams aligned, and our production pipeline running smoothly across audio, video, and branded content.

This isn't a passive coordinator role. You'll own problems end-to-end, build and manage our vendor ecosystem, and be the person who steps in when things go sideways — and makes sure they don't next time.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Production Operations & Team Coordination

  • Run a daily production sync — keeping the team aligned on priorities, blockers, and the day's output.
  • Maintain real-time visibility into delivery timelines across all active shows; proactively flag and resolve delays before they cascade.
  • Own work prioritisation across the edit and production teams, especially when multiple projects are running simultaneously.
  • Allocate work during leaves or bandwidth crunches; serve as the first line of escalation for day-to-day production blockers.

Studio & Technical Readiness

  • Conduct pre-roll checks before every studio recording — verifying frame, sync, audio settings, and camera inputs before the record button is pressed.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during production: sync errors, black frames, audio mixer problems, or settings faults.
  • Coordinate backup recording setups and ensure the team knows the contingency plan.

Shoot Management — In-House & External

  • For in-house shoots: coordinate pre-shoot prep with the Producer (talking points, cue cards, seating); conduct final studio checks before recording.
  • For external shoots: create calendar invites, ensure call sheets are prepared, and liaise with the shoot team on any on-ground requirements.
  • Follow up with editors and producers on post-production timelines, especially when delivery windows are tight.

Content Publishing & Platform Management

  • Ensure all video and audio episodes are published on time across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor YouTube channels for copyright strikes and coordinate resolution with the relevant teams.

Branded Content Post-Production

  • Coordinate subtitle production for all branded video content, managing turnaround timelines with the subtitling vendor.
  • Own content delivery to brand partners — ensuring the right cut, format, and assets reach the right platform on time.
  • Act as a single point of contact for brand approvals: managing producers toward timely delivery, referring disagreements to the Client Servicing team, and keeping projects moving.

Vendor Network — Build & Manage

  • Build and maintain a strong bench of freelance and agency vendors: video editors, audio engineers, sound designers, motion graphics artists, subtitle services, and shoot crew.
  • Negotiate rates, set quality benchmarks, establish SLAs, and actively optimise cost — we've historically under-leveraged vendor relationships and want that to change.
  • Maintain a live vendor directory with specialisations, rates, and availability; onboard new vendors and conduct regular quality reviews.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

  • 3–8 years in media production, post-production, or content operations —podcasting, video, or digital media preferred.
  • Hands-on experience managing production workflows across in-house and external teams.
  • Prior experience building or managing a vendor network in a production environment is strongly preferred.
  • You come with your own network of editors, sound designers, or video production vendors — this will matter.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with delivery platforms: Frame.io, SharePoint, Google Drive, YouTube Studio.
  • Understands podcast distribution and video publishing workflows.

  • Strong communicator across producers, editors, designers, and external agencies.
  • Vendor-savvy: you know how to get the best out of external partners through relationships, not just contracts.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity; quick to make judgment calls when timelines are tight.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Existing network of production vendors in the Indian media ecosystem.
  • Experience with branded content production and client delivery workflows.
  • Exposure to podcast media production.
