Production Manager

Job Title:

Manager - Production Line (India).

Job overview/Purpose of the Position:

This position plays a critical role in ensuring Production of legacy panels , BC manning and staffing .Ensuring daily deliveries to meet customer deliveries ensuring OTD's , also ensuring Safety and quality in the Day to day operation. Overall a very critical position to keep the plant working.

Area of responsibilities:

Production Line India plant for Legacy panels area.

Production Management:

• Controlling production flow, material flow and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets.
• Meeting the production output as planned by the planning team.
• Ensuring compliance of various international standards like ISO, VDA 6.3, APQP for wind.
• Supervise all production operations such as machining, processing and assembly.
• Facilitate customer visits and host them during the production tours & handling audits.
• Ensuring RCA for the quality issues and work on the improvement on First right yield.
• Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met through production of high-quality material that meets customer delivery expectation.
• Oversee all staff scheduling, time off requests and overtime.
• Schedule, plan and conduct Morning Production Meetings..
• Prepare, update, and communicate the production schedule.
• Organize workflow according to workload to meet delivery schedule and to complete assigned jobs.

People Management:

• Provide a positive, motivating example for employees.
• Lead a team of Floor managers and supervisors to mold a strong team.
• Develop the training programs for the BC's and ensure the constant upgrade of staff and plan for training programs.

• Needs to work closely with the Production engineering , Planning and Logistic team to deliver output.

Project Management and Business Responsibilities:

• Responsible for giving extended support to project management team for new product development.
• Interact effectively with the Management, the Project Team, informing and updating them.

Financial Control:

• Take all necessary actions to manage production costs and improve efficiency of the production.
• Ensure inventories are conducted and accurate records are maintained in the WIP.
• Work on Cost of poor quality due to defects in production process.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor of Engineering

Years of Experience:

• 8 years & above.
