UMA RUBBER AND PLASTIC PRODUCT is a rubber product manufacturing company incorporated in 1991.
We are looking for a dynamic and process-driven Production Engineer to plan, monitor, and optimize manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure timely, high-quality output across extrusion, molding, and finishing processesespecially for rubber and silicone-based products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and manage daily production schedules to meet quality and delivery targets.
- Supervise shift operations, machine loading, material consumption, and manpower allocation.
- Monitor rubber/silicone extrusion and molding processes to ensure product conformity and machine efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, and Tool Room teams to resolve issues and reduce downtime.
- Ensure adherence to production SOPs, safety standards, and cleanliness across work areas.
- Maintain production reports, output data, and performance logs for analysis and decision-making.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce waste, cycle time, and cost.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning for non-conformities or rework cases.
- Train and guide operators, helpers, and machine staff for smooth production flow.
- Ensure optimal utilization of machines, tools, and materials with minimal wastage.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum Requirement:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, Rubber Technology, or Polymer Engineering.
- 25 years of experience in rubber or plastic product manufacturing, ideally in extrusion or molding.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, quality control parameters, and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with shop floor practices, raw material handling, and man-machine coordination.
- Basic knowledge of production planning tools, ERP systems, or Excel-based tracking.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and troubleshoot minor process issues.
- Good communication skills, team coordination, and shift handling capabilities.

Selection Criteria for Production Engineer
Salary: 25,000 40,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and leadership ability)
Candidate Qualification Criteria
Education (Minimum Requirement):
- Diploma or BE in Mechanical, Production, Rubber/Plastic/Polymer Technology
Work Experience:
- 25 years in industrial production, preferably in rubber or silicone extrusion/molding
Skills & Competencies:
- Production scheduling and shift supervision
- Output monitoring, quality checkpoints, and operator management
- Familiarity with extrusion/molding machinery and tools
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis
- MS Excel reporting and basic ERP familiarity
Additional Preferences:
- Experience in silicone extrusion or cleanroom production
- Exposure to ISO/TS standards, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices
- Willingness to work in multiple shifts if required
