Creating a great walkthrough, update, onboarding, or support video often means either expensive production or a rough screen recording that undersells the work.

Velo exists to change that. We're building video infrastructure for AI-native work: an agent-ready layer that turns product knowledge into clear, high-quality video in minutes.

We're starting with prosumers and power users who need to move fast. Over time, we're defining a new category: agent-powered video communication for every team that ships.

About the Role

We're hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own how Velo shows up in the market: crafting the narrative, enabling our sales motion, and building the foundational content that positions Velo as the category leader for agent-powered work video.

You'll develop positioning and messaging by persona and use case, create sales enablement materials that AEs can run independently, and build compelling proof points (case studies, ROI frameworks, competitive positioning). You'll work closely with founders and sales leadership to translate what's resonating in real customer conversations into scalable, repeatable assets that accelerate deal cycles and strengthen Velo's market presence.

This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and go-to-market strategy. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure Velo's capabilities are clearly articulated and differentiated in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

This is a hands-on role for a strong writer and operator who can produce polished content themselves, not just brief agencies or manage freelancers. You thrive in early-stage environments, enjoy building systems and narratives from scratch, and are comfortable working closely with sales teams rather than operating in a siloed marketing function.

What You'll Do

1.Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop and own the Why Velo narrative for key use cases (sales demos, support replies, onboarding, product updates) and tailor messaging by persona.
  • Build competitive positioning against Loom, DIY screen recording, and emerging AI video tools — plus the build internally alternative.
  • Continuously evolve messaging based on what's landing in sales conversations, activation data, and customer feedback.
  • Translate technical capabilities (agents, workflows, knowledge inputs, quality controls) into business value for leaders.

2.Sales Enablement

  • Build pitch decks that AEs can run independently without founders in every meeting.
  • Create one-pagers, leave-behinds, battle cards, and objection handling guides.
  • Develop demo talk tracks, demo scripts, and supporting materials for common use cases.
  • Support RFP responses and custom pitch materials for strategic deals.
  • Partner with sellers to understand what's working in conversations and what's missing.
  • Partner with brand and creative to shape website updates and highly designed marketing collateral.

3. Proof Points & Customer Evidence

  • Develop and maintain customer case studies (sanitized, compelling, reusable).
  • Build ROI frameworks and value quantification tools that support deal advancement.
  • Establish and manage a customer reference program.
  • Create proof points that can be leveraged across sales, marketing, and PR.

4.Content & Thought Leadership

  • Write white papers, POVs, and thought leadership that establish Velo's expertise in AI-native work, agent communication, and video as a workflow primitive.
  • Create content for the website as we build inbound.
  • Ghostwrite for founders when needed.

5.Market & Competitive Insight

  • Maintain a strong point of view on the AI video + agent landscape, buyer priorities, and competitive positioning.
  • Feed market insights into solution packaging, pricing, and GTM strategy.
  • Track competitor messaging, product launches, and market positioning.

Who You Are

  • 5–8 years of product marketing experience in B2B software (AI/workflow tools a strong plus).
  • Exceptional writing skills — can produce polished, publication-ready decks, one-pagers, and long-form content with minimal oversight.
  • Proven track record working closely with sales teams (materials that actually get used).
  • Comfortable with technical products and can translate complex capabilities into business value.
  • Able to operate independently while collaborating closely with founders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong taste in messaging, positioning, and storytelling.
  • Bonus: specific ideas for AI-native product marketing (distribution loops, agent-led demos, programmatic pages, AEO/GEO-aware messaging).
