Role Overview

We are looking for a Growth Product Marketing Manager (Growth PMM) to own the growth lifecycle of new products and features—from launch to long-term adoption, retention, engagement, and monetization.

Unlike a traditional PMM role focused primarily on go-to-market, this role is embedded within the Retention & Growth team and is responsible for ensuring every new product becomes a sustainable user habit and a meaningful business driver.

You will work at the intersection of Product, Business, CRM, Analytics, Design, and Marketing, partnering with cross-functional teams to understand user behavior, identify growth opportunities, build lifecycle strategies, and continuously improve customer lifetime value (LTV).

This role is ideal for someone who combines product thinking, consumer empathy, analytical rigor, and experimentation to solve user growth challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Product Growth & Lifecycle Strategy

  • Own the post-launch growth strategy for new products and features.
  • Define activation, adoption, retention, engagement, and monetization strategies from Day 0 through product maturity.
  • Identify the retention hooks that convert first-time users into long-term engaged users.
  • Develop scalable lifecycle frameworks that maximize user engagement and lifetime value.
  • Partner with Product teams to influence roadmap decisions that improve long-term retention and customer value.

Product Launch & Go-to-Market

  • Partner with Product and Marketing teams throughout the product development lifecycle to build effective GTM strategies.
  • Define launch messaging, onboarding journeys, lifecycle communications, and rollout plans.
  • Ensure every launch has clear activation goals, success metrics, and post-launch optimization plans.
  • Create repeatable launch playbooks that can be scaled across future products.

Product Adoption & Growth

  • Drive awareness, feature discovery, activation, and repeat usage for newly launched products.
  • Analyze user journeys to identify friction points impacting adoption and engagement.
  • Continuously optimize onboarding experiences and product education strategies.
  • Partner with CRM teams to build personalized engagement journeys across Push Notifications, WhatsApp, Email, In-App Messaging, and other lifecycle channels.

Consumer Insights & Experimentation

  • Develop a deep understanding of user motivations, behaviors, and unmet needs through qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Analyze user cohorts, behavioral trends, and retention patterns to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Design and execute experiments across onboarding, feature discovery, personalization, pricing, packaging, and lifecycle communication.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Product, Business, and CRM teams.

Data & Performance

  • Define and monitor key product growth metrics, including:
  • Activation
  • Feature Adoption
  • User Engagement
  • Repeat Usage
  • Retention
  • Subscription Health
  • Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
  • Conduct post-launch performance reviews and identify opportunities to improve product growth.
  • Build dashboards and share actionable insights that influence product and business decisions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Must Have

  • 4–6 years of experience in Product Marketing, Growth, Product Management, Retention, or Product Strategy within a B2C consumer technology company.
  • Proven experience launching and scaling consumer products from 0→1 and driving sustained user adoption.
  • Strong understanding of activation funnels, user retention, lifecycle marketing, and growth frameworks.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Design, CRM, Analytics, Marketing, and Business teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using Mixpanel, Amplitude, SQL, Excel, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to design experiments and translate data into product growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with subscription-based or recurring engagement products.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as MoEngage, CleverTap, or Braze.
  • Familiarity with behavioral psychology, Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), or consumer research methodologies.
  • Exposure to AI-powered consumer products, personalization, recommendation systems, or growth experimentation.

Success in This Role

Within the first year, you will have:

  • Successfully launched and scaled multiple new product initiatives.
  • Improved activation, adoption, and retention across key product lines.
  • Built repeatable playbooks for launching and growing new consumer products.
  • Established consumer insight frameworks that influence Product and Business strategy.
  • Increased engagement, repeat usage, and customer lifetime value through data-driven experimentation and lifecycle optimization.
