Role Overview
This is a foundational role.
You will own end-to-end product development — from identifying opportunities to launching and scaling products across D2C and hospitality.
This role sits at the intersection of:
- Consumer insight
- Formulation & product development
- Packaging & experience
- Business outcomes
What You Will Own
1. New Product Development (0 → 1)
- Identify product opportunities based on consumer behavior, gaps, and trends
- Work closely with R&D / manufacturers on formulations, ingredients, and testing
- Drive product from concept → sampling → validation → launch
2. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Build and execute the product roadmap aligned with business goals
- Prioritize SKUs based on impact (not volume)
- Create hero products, not just line extensions
3. Consumer Experience & Retention
- Think beyond functionality — focus on taste, texture, packaging, and daily usage experience
- Improve repeat purchase and product stickiness
- Work closely with marketing to ensure strong product-market fit
4. Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate with:
- Founders
- R&D / manufacturers
- Packaging vendors
- Marketing & performance teams
- Ensure timelines, quality, and execution speed
5. Performance & Optimization
- Track product performance (sales, repeat, feedback)
- Continuously improve formulations, packaging, and positioning
- Use data + consumer feedback to iterate
Who You Are
Must-Have:
- 4–6 years experience in FMCG / personal care / beauty / wellness / D2C brands
- Proven experience in launching physical products (end-to-end)
- Understanding of formulations / ingredients / product development cycles
- Strong ownership mindset — you drive, not just coordinate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, founder-led environment
Good to Have:
- Experience in oral care / skincare / ingestibles / clean beauty
- Exposure to D2C brands or premium/luxury positioning
- Familiarity with marketplaces (Nykaa, Amazon, etc.)
- Vendor / manufacturer management experience
Compensation
We're looking for high-ownership builders and offer compensation aligned with impact.
Typical range for this role is ₹10–12 LPA, with room for growth as you scale with the brand.
