Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
- Build custom themes and plugins from scratch
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO
- Ensure website security and implement best practices
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across browsers and devices
- Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders
- Manage website deployment, hosting, and version control (Git)
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends and technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in WordPress development
- Strong proficiency in:
- PHP
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience with:
- Custom theme and plugin development
- WordPress REST API
- Gutenberg block development (preferred)
- Knowledge of MySQL and database optimization
- Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of SEO principles and website performance optimization
- Experience with WooCommerce customization (preferred)
