As a Product Manager for Google Play Apps, you will lead the strategy and execution of innovative engagement features. Your mission is to reinvent the app discovery journey and modernize the Google Play web experience. You will achieve this by working with a cross-functional, multiple teams of Engineers, Product Managers, and UX designers across Play teams.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Define the product outlook and roadmap for your areas, working across Play's organization to ensure alignment on strategy and execution timelines.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle for product features. Identify new opportunities for business growth, while balancing user experience and developer success.
- Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders and leadership across the organization, get buy-in from executives and Play leads, and define product requirements.
- Define experiment phases and product's launch phases, accounting, business impact, and overall Play and Ads strategy. Analyze key metrics to measure the success of new features and identify opportunities for improvement and interpret results for cohesive yet clear takeaways.
- Manage product launches and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with Marketing and Public Relations, with a focus on key markets.
