Job Overview
We are seeking a Team Member – Raw Material Sourcing to manage sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement strategies. The role focuses on ensuring cost-effective procurement, supply continuity, and optimization of inventory and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities, supplier selection, and price negotiations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize inventory and material flow
- Conduct market analysis and supply chain risk assessment
- Identify and develop alternate sources of raw materials
- Manage vendor performance and long-term partnerships
- Support contract negotiations and sourcing strategy execution
- Develop MIS reports for cost monitoring and analysis
- Ensure continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service levels
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in raw material sourcing
- Minimum 2+ years in liquid bulk sourcing (petroleum, oil, solvents, fertilizers, etc.)
- Experience in chemical or manufacturing industry
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
