As a lead of Procurement Operations (PR to PO) oversees the end-to-end purchasing process, bridging the gap between internal Purchase Requisitions (PR) and authorized Purchase Orders (PO) sent to vendors. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, managing vendor relationships, and leading operational staff in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Requisition to PO Management :
Good understanding on PR to PO creation, PO amendments, Helpdesk query
resolution, etc.
. Validate Review Quote and Supporting Documentation attached in the
Purchase Requisition
. Perform Compliance check and Create Purchase Orders in the relevant
system
. Resolve Queries related to Vendor, PO Amendment, Training, Finding right
approver
. Effectively manage internal / external customers on queries related to Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, How to Submit Invoices etc. received via Email or Phone/MS teams/Liveagent
. Follow-up with suppliers and internal stakeholders on actions related to supplier enablement or procurement operations via Helpdesk ticketing system
. Work with end users, Accounts Payable, Sourcing & Procurement and Master data teams to resolve issues and process the requests . Perform all duties within assigned timeline and effectively communicate progress of assigned tasks
. Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value,
aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvements
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor purchasing staff or buyers, including workload distribution, training, and performance management.
Reporting & Cost Improvement: Generate procurement reports, analyze spending data, and identify cost-saving opportunities or improvements to the procurement workflow
Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal procurement policies, SOPs, and legal standards. Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of contracts and POs
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
.Degree in Science/B.Com Graduate / MCom (MBA - Finance preferred)
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
.Relevant years of experience
.Good Communication skill and the ability to engage customers in significant discussions
.Basic understanding of planning-procurement/purchasing process in manufacturing industry. Experience on handling planning and procurement of direct materials.
.Strong team player and team managing skills
.Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in MS excel , Lean Trained & Tested preferred
.Scope for working under various ERP Packages - SAP , SAP Hana, ServiceNow or any Helpdesk ticketing solution
