Procurement Manager – Fitness & Wellness Projects

Location: Mumbai (Head Office)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager (Fitness & Wellness Projects) to lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, and project procurement from our Mumbai Head Office. This role will own end-to-end procurement for fitness and wellness equipment projects, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, compliance, and timely delivery across high-value institutional, hospitality, corporate, and real estate projects.

This is a high-visibility role working closely with leadership and global partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement for fitness & wellness equipment projects from planning, sourcing, and ordering to delivery support.
  • Build, manage, and grow relationships with international and domestic suppliers, ensuring alignment on quality, timelines, and commercial terms.
  • Oversee equipment selection and technical evaluation in coordination with internal experts, finalizing specs that meet project and compliance requirements.
  • Own strategic sourcing initiatives, including cost optimization, negotiation, and supplier performance improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to national and international fitness & wellness standards, guidelines, and safety norms across all procured products.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, Logistics & Warehouse, Marketing, Finance, and HR to enable smooth project execution.
  • Track market trends, global innovations, and emerging technologies in fitness & wellness and translate them into sourcing opportunities.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, layouts, proposals, and vendor submissions for key projects.
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering strong process discipline and capability building.
  • Manage high-level stakeholder communication with internal leadership and external partners (global OEMs, strategic vendors, large accounts).

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sports Science, Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in fitness & wellness, sports infrastructure, equipment management, or project procurement.
  • Proven track record of managing international vendors and large-scale projects with significant equipment value.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of national and international fitness & wellness standards, safety norms, and compliance requirements.
  • Deep understanding of fitness and wellness equipment categories (cardio, strength, rehab, specialty equipment).
  • Excellent vendor management, commercial negotiation, and contract handling skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution, detail orientation, and ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective global coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and high-value deliverables under tight timelines.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in import procedures, international procurement, documentation, and compliance.
  • Exposure to government / PSU / institutional projects in fitness, sports, or infrastructure (added advantage).
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.

  • Optimized total cost of ownership through effective vendor management, negotiation, and sourcing.
  • Strict adherence to quality, safety, and international standards across all procured equipment.
  • Strengthening and expansion of TIFC's global supplier and partner network.
  • Continuous process improvement and operational efficiency in procurement and project execution.
