Job Title: Purchase Head / Senior Purchase – Procurement

Location: Head Office (Chennai) – Willingness to travel to project locations required

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement / Purchase professional with a strong background in the construction and hotel infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement operations, vendor coordination, logistics planning, and cost optimization while ensuring timely availability of materials for project execution.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage procurement sourcing and purchasing activities for construction projects.
• Ensure documentation compliance related to procurement and vendor agreements.
• Handle vendor contract management, negotiations, and relationship management.
• Coordinate material planning and ensure timely procurement based on project requirements.
• Oversee logistics and delivery management to ensure materials reach project sites on schedule.
• Implement cost control and optimization strategies in procurement processes.
• Work closely with project teams to understand material requirements and project timelines.
• Review drawings and assist in noting material quantities for procurement planning.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification: BE (Civil) preferred OR any degree with relevant procurement experience.

Experience: 13 – 15 years in procurement or purchase functions.

Industry Background:

Construction industry

Hotel infrastructure projects

Contracting companies preferred

Ability to read drawings and estimate material quantities.

Experience in logistics coordination will be an added advantage.

Additional Information

Candidates will be based at the Head Office(Chennai) but should be open to travel to project locations as required.

The role will be suitable for professionals currently working as Senior Purchase Managers / Purchase Heads / Procurement Heads within the construction sector.
