Role: Data Analyst / Reporting & Insights Analyst
Location : Mumbai
Summary
We are looking for a Data Analyst who can turn complex data into clear, decision-ready insights. The role involves advanced Excel-based analysis, Tableau/BI reporting, performance tracking, forecasting, and strong stakeholder management across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage dashboards & reports using Excel & PowerBI (preferred) or other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Perform deep-dive analysis in Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, data modelling, VBA).
- Track and report business performance KPIs (daily/weekly/monthly), ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple reports.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and variance tracking (actual vs plan, trend analysis, risks/opportunities etc).
- Translate data into storytelling narratives: crisp executive summaries, insights, recommendations, and next actions.
- Handle large datasets (multiple sources, high-volume tables), validate data quality, and troubleshoot inconsistencies.
- Partner with stakeholders across functions (Business, Ops, Product, Marketing, Finance, Tech) to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.
- Maintain reporting documentation: metric definitions, dashboard logic, refresh cycles, and governance standards.
- SQL skills for data extraction and validation.
- Exposure to automation (Excel macros/VBA, Python) for reporting efficiency.
Must-Have Skills & Requirements
- Advanced Excel expertise (Power Query/Power Pivot, pivots, lookups, indexing, nested formulas automation is a plus).
- Strong hands-on experience with PowerBI or equivalent BI tools (Tableau/Looker/Qlik).
- Proven ability in data analysis + insight storytelling (not just reportingrecommendations matter).
- Experience with performance tracking and forecasting/budget tracking (variance analysis, trend modeling).
- Comfortable managing multiple reports, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication: can explain data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
