The Client Advisory Services (CAS) team, part of the Enterprise Operations organization at First Citizens India (FCI), plays a critical role in driving Operational Excellence across global banking processes including KYC, Client Onboarding, Fraud Operations, Loan Operations, Deposit & Payments Operations and Quality Control/Assurance functions.
As part of the CAS Business Unit, the Operational Excellence function focuses on enterprise-wide automation strategy and transformation. This team partners closely with US and India leadership to identify, design, and implement scalable automation solutions that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls and improve client experience.

About The Team
The Client Advisory Services (CAS) team is part of Enterprise Operations at First Citizens India (FCI). Within CAS, the Operational Excellence team is responsible for leading automation and transformation initiatives across the Business unit. This team works in close partnership with US and India Operations leadership to standardize processes, improve governance and scale automation solutions across regions.
The Process Manager - Automation will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across operations to drive automation adoption and improve operational maturity across the bank.
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Automation Manager to lead the automation initiatives across enterprise processes. This role will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities, gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions, managing end-to-end bot delivery and ensuring maximum value realization from Robotic Process Automation (RPA) investments.
The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams, ensuring seamless implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of automation solutions. The candidate will also partner across Business units to identify, design, implement, and manage intelligent systems that combine Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and drive process streamlining/optimization opportunities.
Key Deliverables
- Identify, assess and prioritize automation opportunities across business units.
- Conduct process discovery workshops and document As-Is and To-Be process flows.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and detailed Jira user stories.
- Define automation solution design in collaboration with RPA developers and architects.
- Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming and release planning.
- Track bot development lifecycle from ideation to production deployment.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Monitor bot performance, ROI, time saved metrics and production stability.
- Coordinate production support, issue triaging and root cause analysis.
- Drive stakeholder communication and executive reporting dashboards.
- Lead bot migration, upgrade and enhancement initiatives.
- Establish automation best practices and standard documentation templates.
Functional Skills
Skills and Qualification
- 10+ years of experience driving automation or system delivery, with a track record of driving change and solution delivery.
- Perform process feasibility analysis and automation suitability assessment.
- Validate exception handling scenarios and edge cases.
- Facilitate UAT sessions and obtain business sign-off.
- Maintain automation pipeline
- Provide business impact analysis including cost savings and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tech, IT, Risk).
- Create frameworks for AI training and skill development for internal teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of RPA tools such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of bot architecture, credential vaults, control room and scheduling.
- Ability to interpret logs, debug issues and understand bot failure patterns.
- Experience working with APIs, databases (SQL) and integration workflows.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts and system interfaces.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Understanding of infrastructure environments (Dev, UAT, Prod).
- Experience in AI/ML, intelligent automation, and data engineering
- Graduate in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning & Exposure to cloud platforms is a plus
