Process Optimization:
- Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for EV cells and battery packs to enhance efficiency, quality,and output.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technology Integration:
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies and automation to improve manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate new technologies into production.
Equipment Selection and Maintenance:
- Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimalequipment performance.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to align manufacturing processes with product specifications.
Cost Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for process engineering projectsand initiatives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities withoutcompromising quality or safety.
Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing processes– PFMEAs, Controland Reaction plans.
- Implement measuresto ensure compliance with safety standardsand regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing Manufacturing Process Engineering team.
- Providementorship, training, and development opportunities for team members.
Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 18 years of experience in automotive industry or a tier 1 in manufacturing and manufacturing process engineering functions. A minimum of 5 years of experience as the lead of manufacturing process engineering team for the plant.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading process/manufacturing engineering for a cell manufacturing company is must.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing processengineering, preferably in the automotiveor EV industry.
- Strong background in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with relevantsafety standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
