Job Description

About the Role:

The Process Coach plays a key role in ensuring high standards of quality and performance within the medical coding team. You will be responsible for training, mentoring, and supporting new hires as well as ongoing coaching for current team members. This role requires a deep understanding of medical coding, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver structured feedback and continuous improvement support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand quality requirements from both process and target perspectives.
  • Train new joiners on medical coding concepts and client-specific guidelines.
  • Monitor trainee productivity and quality against On-the-Job Training (OJT) ramp-up targets.
  • Provide structured, ongoing feedback to trainees.
  • Educate team members on client specifications and regular coding updates.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions to address and correct repeated errors.
  • Communicate trainee performance insights to Team Leads.
  • Effectively convey Quality Control (QC) feedback to trainees.
  • Support early confirmation of trainees by providing valuable performance input to leadership.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in medical coding, specifically in IVR specialty.
  • Training Expertise: Proven experience in coaching and training as per structured processes.
  • Strategy Skills: Ability to design and implement varied training and coaching strategies.
  • Certifications: Must hold valid coding certifications such as CPC, CCS, COC, or AHIMA.
  • Education: Graduate in any discipline.
