About the Role
We are hiring for a Principal Product Manager – Platform for a high-growth fintech organization. This role will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for core platform capabilities that power multiple product lines spanning payments, risk, data, and integrations.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering, data, and business, building scalable, secure, and high-performance platform systems that enable rapid product innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the platform product strategy and roadmap, aligned with long-term business and technology goals
- Own core platform layers such as APIs, developer platforms, data infrastructure, identity, payments orchestration, and risk systems
- Partner deeply with engineering, architecture, and security teams to design scalable, reliable, and compliant systems
- Build reusable platform capabilities that accelerate time-to-market for downstream product teams
- Establish strong product thinking in platform teams balancing internal stakeholder needs with long-term scalability
- Drive platform adoption and usability across internal teams through clear documentation, tooling, and developer experience improvements
- Own key platform metrics: latency, uptime, reliability, cost efficiency, and adoption
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards relevant to fintech (e.g., KYC, AML, data privacy)
- Mentor and influence other PMs; act as a thought leader for platform product management
What We're Looking For
- 7–12 years of product management experience, with significant time in platform / infrastructure products
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure
- Prior experience in fintech, payments, lending, or financial data platforms is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to build platforms that serve multiple internal/external consumers at scale
- Deep empathy for developer experience (DX) and internal users
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to define and track platform success metrics
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with ambiguity
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence without authority
