Principal Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop energy strategies and support planning applications including regulatory documentation
• Perform Part L compliance analysis using IES and SAP tools
• Analyze operational energy performance in line with CIBSE TM54 and NABERS standards
• Conduct overheating risk assessments and thermal comfort analysis
• Lead specialization within building physics and mentor team members
• Ensure compliance with evolving regulations and industry standards
• Develop retrofit strategies for net-zero carbon and energy-efficient buildings
• Provide technical advisory to stakeholders including architects, engineers, and clients
• Guide projects toward sustainability certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and Passivhaus
• Monitor project financials, timelines, and deliverables effectively
• Apply passive design principles and low/zero carbon technologies
• Utilize digital and parametric design tools (Rhino/Grasshopper, coding) for innovation
• Deliver high-quality outputs with strong attention to detail and autonomy
