Role Accountabilities
- Support Discipline Lead in leading the team and support in developing functional area expertise.
- As GEC Project Lead, managing projects (or components of projects) for Energy Civils team.
- Managing the production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports.
- Taking responsibility for technical resource allocation, quality assurance.
- Address Client feedback and ensure effective communication of any changes/ modifications.
- Must have insane focus on quality for final 2D & 3D drawings and deliverables.
- Proactively engage with various Arcadis Regional offices/ teams.
- Ensure safe designs, and flag risks at appropriate levels.
- Resolve issues and create strong relationships with colleagues in the regions.
- Develop technical methodologies which add value to the scope from other Arcadis Regions
- Managing complex / multi-disciplinary projects.
- Oversee development of colleagues
- Review work and drive culture of checking and accountability including interdisciplinary checks.
- Liaising and assisting the project manager to ensure commercial aspects relating to the designs.
- Develop plans and budgets for medium size /complex tasks and monitor progress.
- Identify opportunities and drive implementation of re-engineering strategies to maximize value.
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Provide technical advice to project team members.
- Handle multiple responsibilities, overseeing the work and development of colleagues.
- Design Health & Safety management for the project works.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E / Post-Graduation in Civil / Transportation / Hydraulics / Drainage Engineering. Post-Graduation will be an advantage.
- 12+ years experience in design of roads & drainage with exposure to substation compound designs.
- UK Registered or accredited professionals will be given due consideration.
- Project delivery compliance and resource management.
- Knowledge of UK standards and codes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Work experience in UK projects will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills.
- Strong command in applicable engineering software.
- Experience in delivery of designs, and drawings at all stages from concept through construction.
- Software Knowledge - AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, BIM 360 / ACC
