Job Description

Pursuit / Strategic Presales Consultant – AI & Enterprise Solutions

Role Summary

Lead strategic pursuits and enterprise solution engagements by combining consultative presales, AI-driven innovation, stakeholder orchestration, and solution shaping capabilities. Own the end-to-end pursuit lifecycle — from opportunity qualification, discovery, solution conceptualization, AI-enabled prototyping, proposal creation, commercial alignment, stakeholder management, and deal closure.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying business pain points, aligning cross-functional teams, designing transformative solutions, and driving large/complex deals to successful closure.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Pursuit Management

  • Own and drive end-to-end RFP, RFI, RFQ, proactive proposals, and strategic pursuit engagements.
  • Lead pursuit strategy, qualification, bid planning, governance, solution positioning, and closure activities.
  • Collaborate and work closely with sales leadership to shape pursuit strategies, define win themes, and increase conversion rates.
  • Drive opportunity nurturing, client engagement, stakeholder alignment, and closure management throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Manage daily pursuit governance including RAG status tracking, risk mitigation, dependencies, and executive reporting.

AI-Led Solutioning & Prototyping

  • Work closely with clients and internal SMEs to identify business pain points and translate them into scalable enterprise and AI-driven solutions.
  • Lead AI-enabled discovery workshops and solution envisioning sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Design and coordinate rapid AI-based prototypes, PoCs, accelerators, demos, and smart solution concepts to strengthen pursuits.
  • Leverage emerging technologies including AI/ML, Agentic AI, Automation, MCPs, Cloud, Analytics, and GenAI to create differentiated offerings.
  • Help define future-state operating models, digital transformation roadmaps, and innovation-led value propositions.

Enterprise Solution Consulting

  • Architect and position enterprise solutions across domains such as Insurance, CRM, ERP, SCM, HCM, Digital Platforms, and Core Enterprise Applications.
  • Partner with delivery, architecture, product, engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams to construct comprehensive and commercially viable solutions.
  • Conduct customer research and analyze client business challenges, technology landscape, and industry trends to recommend strategic solutions.
  • Build contextualized value propositions aligned to customer pain points, operational outcomes, and business KPIs.
  • Facilitate design-thinking and collaborative workshops to align multiple stakeholders toward a common solution vision.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Act as the central orchestrator connecting sales, clients, SMEs, delivery, technology, partnerships, and leadership teams.
  • Lead customer presentations, solution walkthroughs, workshops, executive discussions, and proposal defense sessions.
  • Build strong client relationships by nurturing opportunities from early-stage discussions through closure and transition to delivery.

Proposal Development & Content Management

  • Prepare high-quality pursuit artifacts including:
  • Proposals and executive summaries
  • AI-led solution presentations
  • Commercial models and estimation inputs
  • Whitepapers and POV documents
  • Case studies and capability decks
  • Business cases and transformation roadmaps
  • Manage reusable content repositories, accelerators, and industry solution assets.
  • Ensure response integration, quality reviews, compliance checks, and timely submissions.

Desired Skills & Experience

Functional & Industry Expertise

  • Strong experience in enterprise presales, strategic pursuits, consulting, and large deal management.
  • Experience working with Insurance offerings and products preferred.
  • Good understanding of Insurance enterprise application landscapes
  • Exposure to Application Development, Modernization, and Managed Services engagements.

Technology & Innovation

  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies including:
  • Generative AI
  • AI/ML
  • Agentic AI
  • Automation
  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • DevOps
  • Analytics & Data Platforms
  • MCP-enabled enterprise architectures
  • Experience in AI-led prototyping, solution envisioning, innovation workshops, or transformation consulting is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • BE / B.Tech with MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Presales / Pursuit Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Application or Digital Transformation domain.
  • Experience working with Tier-1 / Tier-2 IT Services organizations preferred.

  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and communication skills with strong contextualization ability.
  • Strong consultative mindset with problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
  • Strong ownership mindset with ability to independently drive pursuits to closure.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic pursuits in a fast-paced environment.
