GoodHiresOnly has been retained as the hiring partner for fast growing Cloud Services Company to identify and onboard a Senor Pre-Sales Consultant for their AI Solution offerings. 

Client Overview

Our Client is fast-growing Cloud Services Company which is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, with additional offices in the UK and UAE. Our client is an Authorized Google Cloud Premier Partner focused on helping businesses accelerate digital transformation through Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, Chrome Enterprise, cloud migration, and managed cloud solutions.

Our client is understood to be at approximately ₹100 crore in revenue and has reportedly been growing at around 100% year-on-year for the past two consecutive years. 

Title: Senior Presales Consultant

Compensation: ₹20–24 LPA Total CTC (incl. 20% Variable) 

Location: Bengaluru

Reporting: CTO

Work: FTE (On-site)

Travel: 4-5 Days/month

Role Summary

Our Client is hiring a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant to drive technical solutioning, customer discovery, and proposal development for cloud and AI-led opportunities. This role will serve as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and delivery teams, helping enterprise and growth-stage clients adopt secure, scalable, and outcome-oriented solutions across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Vertex AI, and Generative AI use cases.

The position combines cloud architecture, AI/ML solutioning, consultative selling, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor during the pre-sales cycle, shape customer problem statements into solution approaches, lead demos and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and support deal progression through strong technical credibility and commercial alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1) Customer Discovery & Advisory

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand business priorities, pain points, current-state architecture, and target outcomes.
  • Validate customer problem statements and frame them into structured solution directions.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact during the pre-sales cycle and early engagement stages.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders including Heads of Engineering, IT, Technology, and business decision-makers.
  • Conduct solution workshops, technical discussions, and advisory sessions tailored to customer maturity and use case complexity.

2) Solution Design & Proposal Development

  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud and AI solutions using GCP, AWS, Vertex AI, and related services.
  • Propose AI/ML and Generative AI use cases aligned with customer needs and measurable business value.
  • Prepare solution architecture documents, high-level designs (HLDs), Statements of Work (SOW), Bills of Quantity/Materials (BOQ/BOM), and scope definitions.
  • Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and customer proposal requests with strong functional and solution inputs.
  • Translate validated requirements into detailed architecture choices, BOMs, and implementation-ready execution plans.

3) Demos, PoCs & Pre-Sales Execution

  • Deliver customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions for both business and technical audiences.
  • Lead and coordinate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate technical feasibility and business value.
  • Demonstrate Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, and related AI capabilities in the context of customer use cases.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities, shape solution strategy, and strengthen deal progression.

4) Collaboration, Documentation & Governance

  • Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and ready for execution.
  • Ensure seamless handoff of won opportunities to delivery teams with complete technical context and documentation.
  • Act as a technical bridge during the early delivery phase, ensuring customer expectations align with the proposed solution scope.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the client's AI and cloud offerings through field feedback, market insights, and solution refinement.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical proposals, discovery notes, demo assets, and pre-sales documentation.
  • Track pre-sales activities, opportunity progress, PoC outcomes, and pipeline updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct customer enablement and solution orientation sessions as needed.
  • Stay current on cloud, AI/ML, Generative AI, and emerging AI agent trends.

Required Qualifications

What you bring:

• 7+ years in pre-sales within SaaS, cloud, or tech-enabled services environments.

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS, with strong understanding of Vertex AI, AI/ML, and Generative AI concepts.

• Experience designing solutions involving compute, networking, Kubernetes, application modernization, and migration.

• Proven ability to lead the full pre-sales lifecycle — discovery, demos, workshops, PoCs, and proposal development.

• Proficiency in building HLDs, SOWs, BOQs/BOMs, architecture documents, and RFP responses.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business and executive stakeholders.

• Demonstrated experience supporting complex B2B sales cycles in close partnership with sales teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Good to have:

• Experience with Gemini Enterprise or other advanced Google Cloud AI tooling beyond foundational Vertex AI.

• Exposure to AI transformation, migration, analytics, or custom solution-led consulting engagements.

• Familiarity with data science, large-scale data processing, or analytics concepts.

• Understanding of India and UAE SMB or mid-market customer environments.
