PR, Content & Marketing Associate

We are not looking for someone who manages content calendars. We are looking for someone who makes things happen — in the press, online, and in the room.

Kathputlee Arts & Films is an 18-year-old creative studio — films, branded content, and a growing services business. Two feature films are in distribution. International co-productions are in development. The founder is building a bigger public presence and the business is expanding across Delhi and Mumbai.

We need one person who can handle PR, content, marketing outreach — and also move with the business operationally. This is a generalist role for someone with a media brain and a doer's instinct.

What this role Actually is

You will own the public presence of the founder and the studio — across press, social media, and industry relationships. You will also travel, coordinate, and execute alongside the founder when needed. This is not two jobs stapled together. This is one job for someone who is equally comfortable writing a press note and booking a flight.

What you will Actually Do

• Manage the founder's LinkedIn — content, engagement, and positioning
• Write and send PR pitches, press notes, and media outreach for film releases and business milestones
• Build and manage relationships with journalists, bloggers, and industry media
• Identify and reach out to collaborators, clients, and partners on the founder's behalf
• Create marketing content for the studio — social posts, campaign assets, outreach copy
• Travel with or ahead of the founder when needed — Delhi, Mumbai, Meerut, and internationally
• Coordinate vendors, freelancers, and logistics for productions and business events
• Track what is working and report in results — not activities

Backgrounds we are looking for

• PR or communications at a media, entertainment, or agency company
• Social media or digital marketing with real strategy and outreach experience
• Journalism or mass communication background that moved into the industry side
• Marketing or brand management with client-facing and content experience
• Someone who has run communications or managed a public profile for a founder or public figure

2–5 years preferred. Strong writer in Hindi and English both. Delhi or Mumbai based.

• You write in a human voice — not corporate, not templated
• You are comfortable reaching out cold to people you don't know
• You can switch between writing a press note and coordinating a shoot in the same day
• You want proximity to a real creative business — films, brands, international work
• You track results naturally — who responded, what opened, what moved

This is not for you if

• You only schedule posts and manage content calendars
• You have never done direct outreach or relationship building
• Travel and irregular hours disrupt your life
• You need everything briefed before you move
• You separate creative work from operational work and will only do one

Compensation

Open to full time or freelance retainer. Discussed based on experience and scope.

The number grows with demonstrated results — not tenure.
