If you're about a year into your PR journey and you're hungry to do more: more pitching, more writing, more figuring out how stories actually get placed. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Outreach: You'll be reaching out to journalists and editors regularly, crafting pitches that are sharp, relevant, and actually worth opening. Building these relationships early is one of the most valuable things you'll do in this role.
- Writing Content: Press releases, backgrounders, media notes, you'll be writing a lot. The goal is to get comfortable turning a client brief into something a journalist actually wants to read.
- Monitoring: Keeping tabs on what's happening in Fintech and FMCG: industry news, competitor movements, media trends so the team is always working with fresh context and smart angles.
- Reporting: Putting together coverage reports and media trackers for clients. You'll get comfortable reading the data and understanding what good looks like.
Requisites:
- Around a year of PR or communications experience, agency background preferred but not mandatory
- Genuine interest in Fintech and/or FMCG: you don't need to be an expert, but curiosity goes a long way
- An eye for detail, especially when it comes to lists, briefs, and client-facing documents
- Strong communication skills, both verbal/written
