Job Description

Kiya.ai is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) position. We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in data warehousing, business intelligence implementation, and comprehensive Power BI expertise.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

Microsoft Power BI Expertise:Proficiency in report writing with Power BI, including advanced DAX coding.
Experience with light administrative tasks within Power BI.
Data Warehousing & BI Implementation:Proven experience in the successful implementation of Data Warehouse/BI solutions.
Well-versed in data warehousing concepts, including SCDs, star schema, hierarchy, and aggregation.
ETL & RDBMS Proficiency:Expertise in ETL tools, particularly SSIS.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with at least one RDBMS (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, or DB2).
Ability to build views, tables, and scripts in SQL (Oracle and SQL Server).
Experience with tuning and light DBA tasks.
Microsoft SSAS:Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft SSAS as a core tool.
Expertise in Tabular models and Microsoft DAX coding for SSAS.
Scheduling Tools:Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Tivoli, Autosys, or similar platforms.
Data Modeling:Solid understanding and experience in data modeling.
Testing & Deployment:Considerable experience in testing activities, including creating system/integration/performance test plans.
Proficiency in performing system/integration/performance testing.
Experience with defect tracking, root cause analysis of defects.
Ability to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and facilitate UAT sign-off.
Knowledge of deployments/migrations across environments.
Performance Tuning:Well-versed with performance tuning techniques in SSIS and RDBMS.
Data Refresh:Experience with StarQuest software for data refreshes from Oracle databases.
