What you will do
In consultation with ExxonMobil s Operations Geology group in Houston, define project objectives, work scopes and deliverables.
- Develop offset well stick charts summarizing drilling results and pressure indicators for offset wells and integrating offset well data into a wellbore specific post drill interpretation of pore pressure and in-situ stress at offset wells.
- Integrating wellbore specific pressure estimates with geologic interpretation to establish sub-regional to basin-scale controls on pressure and stress.
- Evaluating response of physical properties to pressure (e.g., sonic velocity or resistivity) Integrating offset well drilling results with geophysical data and the prospect geology to develop wellbore specific pre-drill pressure prognoses appropriate for drill well planning.
- Develop sub-regional scale 3D models of pore pressure and minimum stress to support multi-well development or production drilling operations.
- Where possible, leverage basin-scale pore pressure interpretation broadly to impact hydrocarbon systems assessment, trap/seal constraints and/or geophysical data interpretation and processing
