Key Responsibilities:
System Administration and Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all PLM4A system issues and support requests within the engineering team.
- Provide guidance and assistance in troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to engineering operations.
- Oversee user access, security settings, and role assignments to ensure proper system usage and data integrity.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for engineers and relevant stakeholders on best practices for using PLM4A, including document management, version control, and product lifecycle processes.
- Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, and other documentation to assist with the system's adoption and use.
- Provide ongoing support for new features and system updates, ensuring users are informed and trained.
Data Management:
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of product data within PLM4A, including CAD models, BOMs (Bills of Materials), specifications, and other engineering documents.
- Facilitate the migration of data into the PLM4A system and manage data cleanup processes as necessary.
- Assist engineering teams with creating and managing product structures and ensuring alignment with project timelines.
Collaboration and Process Improvement:
- Collaborate closely with engineering, IT, and other departments (e.g., manufacturing, quality assurance) to optimize PLM4A's configuration and usage.
- Identify process bottlenecks and provide recommendations for system or workflow improvements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to integrate PLM4A with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MES).
System Maintenance and Updates:
- Monitor the PLM4A system's performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with the IT team to apply necessary patches or updates.
- Participate in testing new system features or enhancements before deployment to ensure alignment with engineering processes.
- Ensure the system complies with regulatory and quality standards applicable to the industry.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate and analyze reports on system usage, data integrity, and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance and process efficiency.
- Provide periodic system performance reviews and suggest areas for system optimization based on user feedback and operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience with PLM systems (preferably PLM4A or similar platforms like PTC Windchill, Dassault Systèmes, Siemens Teamcenter, etc.).
- Experience in engineering, product lifecycle management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes such as design, development, BOM management, and revision control.
