About The Opportunity

A technology-driven company in the Enterprise SaaS / Digital Product & Quality Engineering sector seeking a hands-on automation engineer to strengthen its web testing practice. The role is embedded in a product-focused engineering organization delivering customer-facing web applications; this is an on-site opportunity based in India.

Role: Playwright Automation Engineer (On-site, India)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain robust Playwright end-to-end (E2E) test suites using TypeScript to validate web UI flows, regressions and critical user journeys.
  • Architect and extend a reusable test automation framework (page objects, helpers, fixtures) that enables reliable parallel runs across Chromium, Firefox and WebKit.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, configure parallelization and reporting, and ensure tests run as part of pull-request and release workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product, Front-end and QA engineers to translate acceptance criteria into automated scenarios and to prioritize automation coverage for high-risk features.
  • Implement flakiness mitigation strategies stable selectors, retries, smart waits and maintain observability (logs, screenshots, trace collection) for failed runs.
  • Analyze test failures, produce clear reports, triage defects, and drive continuous improvements in test reliability and execution time.

  • BDD / Cucumber experience for scenario-driven automation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in front-end or test automation (hands-on Playwright/JS/TS experience preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of Git and experience running tests in automated CI environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in India.
