Platform Engineer

Role: Platform Engineer

Required Technical Skill Set: Windows & RHEL Servers management, DevOps, VMware, CI/CD, Scripting Language (Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go).

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 6-10 Years

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have Windows & RHEL Servers management, DevOps, VMware, CI/CD, Proficiency in Scripting Language (Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go)

Good-to-Have Familiarity with monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk) and containerization technologies (Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes), Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, orchestration and Kubernetes

SN Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

1 Platform Design and Implementation: Collaborate with teams to design, build, and maintain platform

2 Automation and CI/CD: Implement and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines to streamline workflows and increase productivity.

3 Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Set up monitoring tools and analyse performance data to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.

4 Security and Compliance: Ensure platform security by implementing best practices and meeting compliance requirements

5 Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation for platform tools and processes, providing training and support to internal teams when necessary.

6 Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve issues in complex systems and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

7 Proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles

8 Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile ways of working and principles.

9 Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go.

10 Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Ansible

11 Strong knowledge of Windows & RHEL Servers management, vulnerability management.

12 Experience in working with virtual servers on VMware

13 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

14 Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.

15 Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like

Kubernetes.

16 Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
