About the role

We're looking for a Platform Engineer 2 who can drive initiatives that improve developer experience (DevEx), accelerate release cycles, build scalable internal platforms and improve the developer productivity. This role is a hands-on engineering and strategy, with strong emphasis on building tools, frameworks, and platforms that directly impact developer velocity and productivity.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the Developer Experience (DevEx) Platform Engineering team, taking up key initiatives and execution roadmap.
  • Design and build internal tools/platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, infrastructure workflows and other automations that enables developer to deliver faster.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, service monitoring tools).
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with org-wide goals & OKRs.
  • Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Evangelize team's work internally (workshops, training, cross-team adoption) and externally (conferences, blogs, OSS).
  • Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and build a culture of experimentation & learning.

What You Will Need

  • 3-5 years in software engineering with at least 1 year in platform/dev productivity roles.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, Observability, System Design.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, code quality gates.
  • Strong coding skills in Go or Python (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).
  • Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful projects org-wide, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
  • A background in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) or any open-source software (OSS) contributions would be a huge plus. Alternatively, having built something really cool to solve a difficult pain point for engineers or anything that helped ship things faster for the company or the OSS community would also be great.
  • Strong communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
