Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Design and implement Kubernetes clusters leveraging Helm, Kustomize, and service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Argo CD for automated deployments.
• Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack for logging, monitoring, and tracing.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Optimize cloud costs and enforce security best practices.

Required Skills

• Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Pulumi.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and cloud security (RBAC, IAM).
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, and performance optimization.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Chaos Engineering tools like Gremlin or LitmusChaos.
• Familiarity with Canary or Blue-Green deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud environments, FinOps, and cloud cost optimization techniques.
