Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Rai, Sonipat, Haryana for a Plant Head. The Plant Head will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities include production planning, managing budgets, implementing quality control measures, and streamlining operational performance. The Plant Head will also manage a team to ensure that production targets are met, while adhering to safety and compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Production
  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations of the plant
  • Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
  • Optimize machine utilization, manpower productivity, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely dispatches
Process Improvement & Efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
  • Implement systems to reduce wastage, downtime, and production losses
  • Improve cost efficiency and operational productivity
  • Develop and monitor plant KPIs and MIS reporting systems
Quality Control
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards across all stages of production
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to minimize defects and customer complaints
  • Establish and maintain SOPs for manufacturing and operational processes
Team Leadership & Workforce Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage plant staff, supervisors, and operators
  • Build accountability and a performance-driven culture
  • Coordinate manpower planning, shift management, and workforce discipline
  • Conduct regular training and skill development initiatives
Maintenance & Engineering
  • Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance systems are effectively implemented
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for smooth machine operations
  • Minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
  • Coordinate with procurement, stores, and dispatch departments
  • Monitor raw material availability and inventory management
  • Ensure efficient material movement and production planning
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with factory regulations, safety standards, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain safe working conditions across the plant
  • Drive workplace discipline and operational best practices

Desired Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Management, or related field
  • 8–15+ years of experience in plant/manufacturing operations
  • Prior experience in stationery, paper products, packaging, printing, FMCG, or related manufacturing industries preferred
  • Strong understanding of production systems, quality management, and operational planning
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on approach with strong execution capability
  • Experience in scaling manufacturing operations will be an added advantage
