Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Factory Head to lead end-to-end plant operations, drive production scale-up, and ensure operational excellence. The role will be responsible for managing manufacturing, supply chain coordination, quality, cost eIiciency, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in scaling operations, handling contract manufacturing, and optimizing working capital cycles.
Your Day-to-Day Role
- Production & Operations
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations (captive + contract manufacturing)
- Deliver production targets (monthly / quarterly / annual)
- Drive eIiciency, yield improvement, and cost optimization
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and dispatch timelines
- Capacity Planning & Scale-Up
- Plan and execute ramp-up in units
- Manage hybrid model: 60% captive + 40% CM
- Align production with demand forecasts and sales pipeline
- Supply Chain & Procurement Coordination
- Work closely with sourcing teams for material availability
- Manage supplier timelines, imports, and inventory planning
- Optimize procurement cycles to reduce lead time and cost
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure product quality meets internal and customer standards
- Implement QA/QC processes and continuous improvement systems
- Drive compliance with regulatory requirements (BIS, safety, etc.)
- Working Capital & Cost Control
- Optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock
- Improve production-linked working capital eIiciency
- Drive cost-saving initiatives across manufacturing
- Team Leadership
- Lead and manage plant team (production, quality, warehouse, etc.)
- Build a high-performance, accountability-driven culture
- Hire, train, and develop key plant personnel
- Vendor & Contract Manufacturer Management
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturers (CMs)
- Negotiate capacity, pricing, and service levels
- Ensure consistent output quality across partners

- CM performance and utilization
What Are We Looking For
- Experience: 12–18+ years in manufacturing operations
- Role: Prior experience as Plant Head / Factory Head / Operations Head
- Industry: Electronics / Consumer Durables / Automotive preferred
Skills Required
- Strong production planning & execution capability
- Experience in scaling manufacturing operations
- Exposure to imported components & supply chain complexity
- Ability to manage both captive + outsourced manufacturing

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management
Educational Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics preferred)
- MBA (Operations) is a plus
