Job Summary: As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process, from production planning to quality control, while also managing warehouse logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record of successful plant management and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, with a focus on manufacturing agricultural and farm machinery products.
- Lead and optimize operations across 10 Injection Molding machines and 2 Blow Molding machines. Drive process stability, reduce material scrap rates, and maximize machine uptime.
- Take ownership of mold life management, tooling preventative maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting complex molding defects (short-fills, flash, warping).
- Oversee the efficient scheduling and execution of the Assembly lines for all three product variants (Manual, Battery, Engine). Ensure the smooth, high-volume flow of finished goods
- Monitor warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution logistics.
- Implement efficient and cost-effective warehouse processes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Lead and inspire a skilled manufacturing and logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the production planning team to optimize manufacturing and logistics schedules and resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality agricultural and farm machinery products.
- Conduct regular quality audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and drills.
- Work towards minimizing operational costs while maintaining product quality.
- Implement cost-effective strategies and monitor budgetary adherence.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local and national regulations, including the Factories Act, Labor Laws of Madhya Pradesh, and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards.
- Implement best practices and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on plant and logistics performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Polymer Engineering is mandatory
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in plant management within the agricultural and farm machinery manufacturing sector.
- Domain Expertise:Mandatory and Non-Negotiable: Significant, hands-on experience in Injection Molding and Tooling management is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Proven experience in warehouse logistics and distribution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
