Job Description

You will be responsible for Planning, scheduling and monitoring final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establishing production schedules, labour loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Work to resolve labour and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. Oversee the master schedules and ensure comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.

You will report to the PCA Team Lead and work onsite in Kancheepuram, India.

Your Responsibilities:

  • This work consists of unifying internal members around a common vision and goals, and teaming with others for enhanced outcomes.
  • Support product supply and inventory plans consistent with the goals of the business or product line.
  • Create a production plan for the assigned module and final production areas. The production plan considers customer order status, forecast, material availability, production equipment issues, ECN activity, and other related production issues. It does so to satisfy customer delivery performance and financial goals, based on established priorities.
  • Help resolve circumstances causing delivery not in compliance with customer want dates or excess and slow moving inventory, identifying causes and developing solutions to improve all performance. Provide material status and action plans to business unit, materials management and supply source organisations.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials for existing products. Support implementation of Bill of Material changes from Engineering Change Notices and maintain inventory and Bill of Material information to insure accurate generation of parts lists for product supply sources.
  • Develop knowledge of Material Requirements Planning by assisting Supply Analysts plan the phase in and phase out of products. Identify unique components for products being phased out or inactivated, preparing mechanisms for tracking inventory of unique components to insure use up plan to minimise excess and/or obsolete inventory is successful. Monitor product phase-in/out plans to minimize excess or obsolete inventory and issue progress reports during the phase out period.
  • Develop an understanding of product life cycle planning including the process of master scheduling, new product introduction, product phase-in/out and inventory planning and provide backup support Production Control Technical Analysts.
  • Achieve annual inventory reduction and customer service performance targets.
  • Adopt new technologies to enhance performance and to use knowledge and information for driving competitive advantage. Promoting an environment where technological innovations are recognised and rewarded.
  • Identifying core value-adding processes and maximising their productivity. Integrating and streamlining processes throughout the supply chain and ensuring adoption of best maximum efficiency.
  • Set, well-defined goals to meet our challenges and ensuring performance against those goals. Overcoming obstacles to lead projects and actions to closure.
  • Promote an environment in which information flows freely among all levels of the organisation. Anticipating and meeting the information needs of all relevant members.
  • Ensure familiarity with company policies and procedures. Applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, and Control Environment. They also include Information Protection, ISO 9000 and 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Engineering degree required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Production Planner responsibilities having manufacturing plant working experience.
  • Track record in productivity contribution and process optimization. Lean knowledge.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP
  • Accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments
  • Interest and ability to succeed in an new environment
