Planning Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to be based at our Head Office in Pune. The role involves preparation of project schedules, resource planning, cost monitoring, and coordination for Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) and building construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects while maintaining cost control and reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera/MS Project/Excel.

Coordinate project timelines with execution teams, site engineers, and management.

Prepare resource planning (materials, manpower, machinery) for RMC and building projects.

Track project progress, identify delays, and propose corrective measures.

Coordinate with procurement and accounts for material & cost management.

Prepare cash flow statements, cost-to-complete reports, and budget variance reports.

Analyze productivity, monitor KPIs, and prepare MIS reports for management review.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Assist in tendering, estimation, and planning support for new projects.

Skills & Knowledge Required

Strong knowledge of RMC operations, batching plant planning, and logistics.

Expertise in building construction planning & scheduling.

Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera / MS Excel.

Understanding of project costing, estimation, and budgeting.

Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.

Excellent communication and team management abilities.
