About The Role
Cybage Software is looking for a highly experienced PHP-Laravel Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PHP development, particularly with the Laravel framework, and will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of developers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, contribute to high-quality software solutions, and influence the technical direction of the team. The candidate must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing leadership responsibilities with active coding to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including QA, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance applications. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing best practices in coding, version control, testing, and deployment processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with a proven track record working with Laravel. Strong expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP), REST APIs, and common design patterns is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. Proficiency with Docker is required, along with a good understanding of frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication and leadership abilities, are critical for success in this role.
Academic qualifications should include a relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in Laravel, Docker, or related technologies will be considered an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of PHP/Laravel developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Remain actively involved in coding activities, ensuring the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
- Conduct regular code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with QA, project managers, and product teams to facilitate smooth project delivery and meet client expectations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal application performance.
- Implement and oversee version control, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Monitor application performance metrics and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency.
- Share knowledge and updates on Laravel, related tools, and emerging technologies to encourage continuous learning within the team.
