Job Description

Job Role: PGT (Psychology)

Location: DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities

Academic Planning & Instruction

  • Teach Psychology to Classes XI and XII following CBSE syllabus and guidelines.
  • Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans.
  • Use interactive and student-centered teaching methodologies.
  • Integrate case studies, practical activities, and project work into lessons.
  • Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations with structured revision plans.

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design and conduct periodic tests, assignments, and examinations.
  • Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for practical exams and internal assessments.
  • Maintain accurate academic and attendance records.

Practical & Research Work

  • Guide students in psychological experiments and practical files.
  • Support students in project work and research-based assignments.
  • Ensure laboratory materials (if applicable) are organized and maintained.

Student Development

  • Encourage critical thinking and ethical understanding of psychological concepts.
  • Provide academic mentoring and guidance.
  • Identify and support students with learning or emotional challenges (in coordination with school counsellor).

Collaboration & School Responsibilities

  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary activities.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and co-curricular initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology (mandatory).
  • B.Ed. degree (as per CBSE norms).
  • Prior experience teaching Psychology at senior secondary level preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and examination pattern.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
