Position Overview

The Head – Quality Assurance leads the QA function, ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet global regulatory, customer, and internal standards. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role drives a culture of People First, Agility, Collaboration, Disciplined Execution, and Ownership while advancing the organization's quality maturity and transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term QA strategy aligned with the business vision and transformation roadmap.
  • Foster a quality culture anchored on People First through coaching, upskilling, and transparent communication.
  • Demonstrate Ownership by proactively anticipating quality needs and setting high standards for compliance and performance.
  • Lead the establishment and continual enhancement of the QMS in alignment with ISO standards and customer expectations.
  • Ensure disciplined adherence to quality procedures, documentation, and compliance processes across all operations.
  • Maintain a state of audit readiness across all facilities and functions.
  • Ensure validation and qualification activities meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Represent the organization as the primary quality authority for global customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead customer audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews with confidence and clarity.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives in QMS, audit workflows, and documentation management.
  • Identify quality risks and implement robust mitigation plans across the supply chain and production lifecycle.
  • Build quality governance dashboards and metrics for leadership oversight and disciplined execution.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 12–20+ years of progressive QA experience in Specialty Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, CDMO, or Custom Synthesis.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional quality teams and represent the organization to global customers and regulators.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong command of QMS, ISO standards, regulatory compliance, customer quality requirements, technology transfer, scale-up, and commercial manufacturing in chemical environments.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with strong hands-on execution ability, demonstrating agility, ownership, and disciplined execution.
