About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester to design, execute, and analyze performance tests for applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and ensure our software meets stringent performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Test Strategy: Develop and implement performance testing strategies, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.

Tool Expertise: Use tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Locust to design and automate test scripts.

Test Execution: Execute performance tests across environments (e.g., cloud, on-premises) and analyze results to identify system bottlenecks.

Monitoring: Monitor application performance using tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Grafana during test execution.

Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with developers to diagnose performance issues (e.g., memory leaks, slow queries) and recommend optimizations.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous performance validation.

Reporting: Document test results, create detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders.

Best Practices: Advocate for performance testing standards and mentor junior team members.

Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, developers, and product teams to align testing with business requirements.

Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years in performance testing/engineering.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, etc.).

o Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell, Groovy, or JavaScript).

o Knowledge of protocols (HTTP, REST, WebSocket, SOAP).

o Experience with APM tools (Grafana,Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.) and database performance tuning (SQL/NoSQL).

o Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and troubleshoot performance issues.

Communication: Strong verbal/written skills to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred): ISTQB Performance Testing, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice-to-Have

Experience with shift-left testing and integrating tests early in SDLC.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Familiarity with AI/ML-based performance testing tools.
