Job Description

Performance Marketing Manager

Aromatan Brands is a house of global perfumery brands, founded by three siblings who are 5th-generation perfumers. Rooted in traditional craftsmanship and driven by a deep understanding of the modern consumer, Aromatan exists to create fragrances that transcend the ordinary — products that forge authentic, lasting connections with a diverse and global community. We presently run 2 brands - Dukhni & Aromafume which are loved by customers across approximately 18 countries and territories, with a presence spanning North America, the Europe, Australia, and India. We combine a strong digital-first approach with a growing retail footprint, making our fragrances accessible in stores across all key markets.

Life at Aromatan

Aromatan operates with a family-like ethos — one that pairs genuine care for people with high standards and a relentless drive for excellence. We are a diverse team: 86% women, with 60% of leadership positions held by women. Inclusivity is not a policy here; it is integral to who we are.

How we work:

•     We own the business - team members work like owners, help across functions, and never say that is not my job.

•     We learn and act fast - we stay curious, make quick confident decisions, and move forward without overthinking what is easily reversible.

•     We simplify and measure - we look for simple solutions to complex problems, take inspiration freely, and always track impact.

•     We think big and deliver - we set ambitious goals and mobilise to make things happen, regardless of setbacks.

•     We build capability - leaders actively coach and invest in their people's growth, at Aromatan and beyond.

•     We trust our people - we empower everyone to take ownership, grow into leaders, and operate in a fun, safe, high-performance environment.

Our core values — partnership and teamwork, consumer focus and trust, and excellence — guide every decision we make. We play to win, we hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards, and we believe the best results come from a team that is stronger than the sum of its parts.

The Role

We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager who thrives at the intersection of data, creativity, and commerce. You will own paid media strategy and execution across our digital channels, driving measurable growth in online sales and brand awareness. This is a high-ownership role within a lean two-person performance team — you will be responsible for ideation, strategy, and hands-on execution, working in close collaboration with our brand and creative teams to bring campaigns to life.

Key Responsibilities

•     Lead the ideation, strategy, and hands-on execution of performance campaigns — from initial concept through to live optimisation and reporting.

•     Plan and manage paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google (Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube), with a mandate to expand into emerging platforms.

•     Work as part of a lean two-person performance team: divide and own responsibilities across channels, and mentor or guide your team member on best practices.

•     Partner closely with brand and creative teams to develop campaign briefs, ad concepts, copy, and landing page strategies — translating brand narratives into high-converting paid assets.

•     Identify and test new traffic sources — including Quora, Reddit, TikTok Ads, price comparison / shopping engines, and affiliate channels — to diversify the acquisition mix.

•     Build and maintain full-funnel reporting dashboards; translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.

•     Continuously run structured A/B and multivariate tests on creatives, audiences, bidding strategies, and landing pages.

•     Manage and optimise product feeds, Shopping campaigns, and dynamic retargeting setups.

•     Collaborate with the e-commerce team to improve conversion rates and ensure a seamless customer journey from ad click to purchase.

•     Stay current with platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry best practices; proactively surface new opportunities to the broader team.

•     Manage relationships with platform reps and external agencies or freelancers where applicable.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

•     5–6+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with a strong track record in paid social and paid search.

•     Deep expertise in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, UAC); comfortable operating on both platforms independently.

•     Experience marketing consumer products - physical goods sold direct-to-consumer or through retail — not lead generation or B2B.

•     Demonstrated ability to build and scale brands, not just generate clicks.

•     Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Google Analytics, attribution tools, and spreadsheet-based analysis.

•     Solid understanding of e-commerce fundamentals: product feeds, ROAS, LTV, conversion optimisation.

•     Excellent communication skills — able to present performance insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have

•     Experience with or strong interest in emerging platforms: TikTok Ads, Reddit Ads, Quora Ads, price comparison / shopping aggregators.

•     Familiarity with influencer performance marketing or creator-driven paid amplification.

•     Experience with international markets, particularly the United States or Europe.

•     Knowledge of fragrance, wellness, lifestyle, or FMCG categories.

•     Hands-on experience with feed management tools (e.g., DataFeedWatch, Channable) or CRO tools (e.g., Hotjar, VWO).

What Success Looks Like

•     Hitting and exceeding ROAS and CAC targets across active channels.

•     Reducing over-reliance on any single platform by building a diversified, high-performing channel mix within the first year.

•     Delivering structured test-and-learn cycles with clear documentation of wins and learnings.

•     Becoming the go-to internal expert on paid acquisition strategy and platform capabilities.

Why Join Aromatan Brands

•     High-ownership role with direct impact on business outcomes — no bureaucracy, no waiting for sign-offs.

•     Work on a genuinely loved consumer brand with strong organic traction and an engaged customer base.

•     Competitive compensation up to ₹15-18 LPA, commensurate with experience.

•     Central Mumbai location (Lower Parel) with a young, ambitious team.

•     Real scope to build and own the performance function as the company scales globally.
