Location: Bangalore, India

Reports To: Head of People, Personal Health

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Act as a strategic People Business Partner for one of the commercial Regions, the Growth Region for Personal Health. You will be member of and the trusted business partner for the Growth Region leadership team as well as for the underlying teams.

You will partner closely with senior leadership to develop and execute advanced People Strategies that drive organizational performance, leadership strength, capability building and cultural excellence. Your scope covers the End-to-End (E2E) organization for the full Growth Regional organization, including its marketing, commercial, sales and regional staff. You will work globally, partnering with leaders based in 4 zones: Indian Subcontinent (ISC), Middle East Turkey Africa (META), JAPAC (Japan/AsiaPacific) and Latin America (LATAM). You will work with and act as an informal leader to multiple People Leader Partners supporting your scope.


You are responsible for

  • Partnering with the Region Leader to design and implement People Strategies that align with business / region priorities and with the overall PH and Philips people purpose.
  • Working with People Leader Partners and other colleagues across the People Function and beyond to ensure your strategies are executed with excellence and land with clear impact.
  • Executing on the PH People Priorities for your scope (and taking T-Shaped ownership for one or more), with a lean mindset and data-driven decision making to focus and prioritize for impact.
  • Serving as a trusted partner and coach to senior leaders, influencing decision-making through analytics and strategic insights.
  • Leading capability development, workforce planning, and succession planning to ensure future readiness and sustainable growth and talent to value interventions to ensure incremental value creation is realized.
  • Driving organizational transformation, cultural change, and people-related aspects of key business initiatives.
  • Guiding leaders in performance management practices that foster accountability, continuous improvement, engagement and a mindset of winning.
  • Ensuring compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and Philips People policies while proactively managing risk.
  • Coach your leaders on change leadership behaviors and opportunities.
  • Mentoring and developing earlier-career professionals in the People Function and contributing to a unified, high-impact People Function across Philips.

You are a part of

The Personal Health People Function team, partnering with leaders across the Growth Region and PH based on your defined priority areas. You will report to the Head of People, Personal Health, and collaborate across the People Function to deliver high-impact, end-to-end People solutions across Philips.

You are the right fit for this role when:

  • You have bacheloru2019s or Masteru2019s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • You have 10+ years of experience in People Business Partnering role, Organizational Transformation, or Change Management.
  • You have experience in designing and implementing a people strategy for the business/region.
  • You have experience in dynamic, fast-paced consumer goods organizations in various countries, bringing an advanced level of business acumen in consumer products (marketing, sales, channel, digital, R&D, innovation) capabilities.
  • You have proven experience in partnering with senior leaders in complex, multinational environments u2013 a full End to End set of experiences (upstream, commercial, R&D, operations) is preferred.
  • You have a strong strategic mindset and analytical capability.
  • You have experience leading organizational transformation, workforce planning, and capability development initiatives.
  • You have an advanced level of stakeholder management skills and emotional intelligence, ability to provide effective feedback and handle conflict, and maintain a can-do, solutions oriented mindset.
  • You have excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companyu2019s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companyu2019s main facilities, generally at the customersu2019 or suppliersu2019 locations.
