About The Opportunity
This is not a conventional patent filing role.
We are looking for someone who can help identify, evaluate, protect, and strategically manage innovation within the Kefilo ecosystem.
You will work closely with founders, food scientists, nutritionists, product teams, researchers, and innovation leaders to ensure that valuable ideas, processes, products, technologies, and frameworks are properly protected and leveraged.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of innovation, intellectual property, research, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities 1. Intellectual Property Strategy
- Develop and manage Kefilo's intellectual property roadmap
- Identify patentable innovations across products, systems, and technologies
- Create processes for innovation documentation and protection
- Build long-term IP and competitive advantage strategies
- Patent Research & Analysis
- Conduct patent landscape and prior-art research
- Monitor emerging innovations within food, wellness, and nutrition industries
- Identify potential patent opportunities and risks
- Support innovation feasibility assessments
- Patent Filing & Documentation
- Assist in drafting invention disclosures and patent documentation
- Coordinate with patent attorneys and legal experts
- Maintain patent records and innovation databases
- Support filing, prosecution, and IP management activities
- Innovation & R&D Support
- Work closely with food scientists, nutritionists, and product teams
- Evaluate research outcomes for IP potential
- Create awareness around innovation protection practices
- Support development of future innovation frameworks
