Summary:

As a Data Engineer, you will engage in the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions that facilitate data generation, collection, and processing. Your typical day will involve creating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing ETL processes to effectively migrate and deploy data across various systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization, ensuring that data solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Function as the Lead Data Architect for a small, simple project/proposal or as a team lead for medium/large sized project or proposal

Candidate Should have experience in Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Purview for data governance, cataloguing, security, Quality and compliance.

Integrate Microsoft Purview with various data sources and platforms to establish seamless data lineage, metadata management, and governance workflows.

Configure and customize data classification, labelling, and sensitivity policies to ensure compliance with business standards and regulatory frameworks.

Candidate should have understanding of Azure Date services like Azure Data factory, Azure Databricks, Fabric and Azure SQL database.

Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and IT teams to map data sources and enforce governance best practices.

Monitor and troubleshoot Purview services, ensuring optimal performance and integration with Azure and other data platforms.

Document technical specifications, best practices, and governance workflows, providing training and guidance to data stewards and business users.

Worked in implementation of AI, Copilot use cases for Data Governance

Thought leadership and innovation

Experience in handling OLTP and OLAP data workloads, Star & Snowflake schema, Entity Relationship diagram and other data architecture related concepts

Technical Experience:

Candidate should have strong experience in developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance platforms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage & Delta Lake concepts.

Strong understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management, data cataloging, lineage tracking, and compliance frameworks of Azure Purview.

Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and data modelling to structure and organize enterprise-wide data.

Expert level in Designing and Architect solutions in Azure Databricks, Azure Data factory, Azure Fabric.

Candidate must have knowledge of Database like Azure SQL, Oracle and Azure Data Services like ADLS, Delta/Data Lake

Candidate should have good understanding of Python, Pyspark and AI features of Data governance tool

Experience in Profisee/Unity Catalog is an added advantage

Candidate must have 5-8 years of IT experience and around 2+ years Data

Governance experience

Architect for a medium sized client delivery project

Professional Experience:

Should be able to drive the technology design meetings, propose technology design and architecture

Should have excellent client communication skills

Should have good analytical and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification:

Must have: BE/BTech/MCA

Good to have: ME/MTech, 15 years full time education
