Role: Oracle Hyperion Essbase Developer (Contract)

Overview
As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, construction, and configuration of Essbase-driven applications. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), translating complex financial requirements into high-performance technical solutions. This role requires an independent professional who can collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Engineering: Design and maintain robust Essbase cubes and Hyperion Planning applications to support organizational goals.
- Collaboration & Requirements: Work closely with Finance and Business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights for EPM solutions.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize calculations, data loads, and reporting structures to ensure maximum accuracy and system speed.
- System Administration: Manage metadata, develop complex business rules, and oversee security protocols within the Hyperion environment.
- Documentation & Training: Create technical specifications and user guides, and provide end-user support and training for reporting processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot environment issues and lead efforts in upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.
Technical Profile
Core Essentials:
- Oracle Hyperion Essbase: Advanced proficiency in design, development, and maintenance.
- Calculation Scripts: Expertise in optimizing Essbase calculations and data management.
- Metadata & Security: Hands-on experience managing Hyperion Planning security and metadata.
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting & Integration: Strong knowledge of MaxL and SQL, specifically regarding integration with ERP systems.
- Oracle EPM Suite: Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or other Analytic Applications.
- Data Workflow: Experience managing General Ledger (GL) workflows for Actuals, Forecasts, and Planning cycles.
