Job Description
Every morning, a few hundred part numbers have to leave the plant on time, and someone has to know why a pallet of brake linings is sitting at the wrong dock. That someone will be our next Operations Supervisor.
This is a role at an auto-components supplier to two of the large domestic OEMs, hiring through Flexiple. The plant runs three shifts, and the supervisor owns the line-side material flow: kitting, line feeding, finished-goods staging and dispatch against OEM schedules. Delays here show up in the customer's line stoppage, so the job is mostly anticipation.
You will lead a team of about fifteen operators and helpers per shift, coordinate with quality when a lot is on hold, and keep the daily plan visible on the board. The work sits at the plant in Pune or Chennai, on-site every day, with a shift rota agreed in advance.
Must-haves
- 3 to 8 years in plant operations, stores or logistics in a manufacturing setting
- At least 1 year leading a team on the floor
- Familiarity with OEM delivery schedules, FIFO and basic 5S discipline
- Comfortable with ERP transactions and daily reporting in Excel
- Willing to work rotating shifts
