About the Role
The Operations Specialist – Payments is a key member of the Central Operations team, responsible for supporting Credit Operations in the booking and disbursal of retail loans. This role involves managing payments to urban and rural retail asset customers, handling inventory funding, pre-disbursal cancellations, and maintaining master data such as pin codes, cities, and states. The specialist also oversees loan linking in the FinnOne system, empanelment of DSAs/Dealers, and payout management, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage loan disbursal (booking), payments, and post-disbursal activities for all retail products.
- Review and verify loan documentation across various products.
- Drive quality and service level adherence (SLA) within the unit.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders using strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Promote automation and digitization to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time (TAT).
- Uphold the bank's code of conduct and foster a high-performance culture within the team.
- Take initiative and recommend best practices to improve TAT and operational processes.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Prepare various MIS reports to support operational tracking and decision-making.
- Coordinate daily with branches and CPAs for issue resolution.
- Draft Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for processes requiring automation.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system requirements or modifications to existing functionalities.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in loan disbursal, payments, and retail banking operations.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of retail loan products and disbursal processes.
- Familiarity with loan documentation and post-disbursal activities.
- Experience in managing SLAs and driving operational quality.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in preparing MIS reports and BRDs.
- Knowledge of automation tools and UAT processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative to improve processes.
