ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Manager owns dispatch, data infrastructure, inventory health, and cost reduction. This role sits at the core of the business, working in close collaboration with the production and sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dispatch & Order Fulfilment
Manage end-to-end dispatch across E-commerce, B2B and D2C channels
Help build daily dispatch schedules with warehouse and courier/3PL partners
Monitor SLAs and implement carrier selection workflows for cost efficiency
Data & Reporting
Own operations dashboard: dispatch performance, order accuracy, inventory turnover, cost per order
Deliver weekly/monthly KPI reporting with variance commentary to leadership
Build data pipelines; use data to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, inform purchasing
Inventory Management
Manage stock levels across all SKUs, set reorder points for all material used for smooth operations, safety stock, and max thresholds
Identify dead/slow-moving SKUs and recommend clearance or promotional strategies
Cost Reduction
Own cost reduction mandate across freight, warehousing, packaging, and procurement Benchmark carrier rates regularly; renegotiate logistics contracts
Track Cost Per Order and Cost Per Unit Shipped as primary KPIs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Two to three years of experience
Strong Google Sheets skills for data modelling and reporting
Hands-on dispatch/warehouse operations experience; familiarity with couriers and 3PLs
Inventory management: stock systems, cycle counts, demand planning
Ability to document processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement structured fixes
Handled and led a warehousing team which includes blue and white collar workers
Bonus points if worked in a D2C company
