Job Description
Designation: Operations Manager - Partner Business
Location: Corporate HQ, Gurgaon
Reports to: India Retail Head
Key Responsibilities
1. Franchise & Partner Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for franchise partners across regions.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships to drive alignment with the brand's strategic and operational goals.
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to analyze performance, share insights, and drive continuous improvement.
2. Retail Operations Excellence
- Ensure all partner stores meet global operational standards including VM, customer experience, and store compliance.
- Drive operational KPIs such as sales, conversion, staff productivity, inventory accuracy, and shrinkage control.
- Facilitate the rollout of new retail processes, systems, and SOPs across the partner network.
3. Commercial & Business Performance
- Monitor franchise P&L, store profitability, and ROI metrics; recommend interventions to optimize performance.
- Guide partners on budgeting, inventory planning, store manning, and cost efficiencies.
- Work with finance teams to ensure adherence to commercial agreements and timely settlements.
4. Expansion & New Store Openings
- Support market development initiatives including new partner onboarding and store identification.
- Oversee end-to-end new store opening processes - from pre-launch readiness to post-launch stabilization.
- Ensure new stores comply with brand standards on layout, visual merchandising, and operational readiness.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise closely with merchandising, supply chain, marketing, and HR teams to support partner-led business needs.
- Provide operational insights to influence assortment planning, promotional strategies, and training programs.
- Coordinate with VM and marketing teams to ensure cohesive brand execution across partner stores.
6. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure partner stores adhere to legal, statutory, and brand compliance requirements.
- Drive audits for operational standards, inventory, and financial processes.
- Manage contractual obligations and ensure partners follow agreed-upon business guidelines.
The Successful Applicant
- 10-12 years of demonstrated experience working with Franchises and Partner Businesses.
- A strong educational background relevant to retail or business operations.
- Proven expertise in the fashion/apparel industry.
- Experience in managing partnerships and vendor relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools for data analysis and reporting.
